What People Say About Us

I would trust anything from a day to day kitchen knife to a family heirloom blade with John. This is the finest knife sharpening and refurbishment business around. He made my antique knife look better than the day it was bought. Excellent business, extremely personal. Pickup and dropoff are an ease. Know your blades are in good hands. If you want it done right, come to The Point.

John did an exceptional job sharpening our Shun knife set; we requested a right-handed blade beveling (a straight edge on one side and angled on the other) and they came out perfectly. Like, could-throw-a-watermelon-in-the-air-and-slice-it-before-it-falls perfectly. Not only did he manage to bring our beloved set back to life, he also provided us with his personal knife roll to take home and use while ours were being serviced; a huge help for a house of 7 and many mouths to cook for! You can't beat his enthusiasm, answering any and every question we had- even offering advice on future knife set purchases- and he's a charming conversationalist to boot. Would highly recommend his business to anyone in need of quality knife maintenance! Thank you John!

I found John online and after looking at the website for his business and reading the reviews, I decided to give him a call. I had two knives that were not fancy, but sentimental. One had a bent tip and both were in need of sharpening. After speaking with John, I scheduled a time to drop off the knives and he was kind enough to get the work done on both of them the same day. As for his work, I could not have been more impressed. I was a bit nervous, given the importance of the knives to me, but it was evident that he took great care with the knives and is very talented! He did outstanding work with both, including the correction of the bent tip on the one knife. If you need any knife sharpening, John is the one to trust. I was so happy that I found him and you will be as well when you see his work.

John is a true craftsman and clearly enjoys what he does. I took my kitchen knives there, and all came out phenomenal. When they finally needed re-sharpening, I took them back, along with my most prized possession of a Kukri, that my grandfather brought back from WWII, for a restoration. I would not trust this to many people. John accommodated me and my paranoia, and completed a beautiful restoration. Thanks John! You rock!

Absolutely incredible shine and finish on varying angles for various types of knives. The turnaround time was very quick, I can't wait to use my "good as new knives". I will be returning, thank you sir!
